Light Behind Light, the seventh album from The Honey Dewdrops (Baltimore-based husband and wife duo of Kagey Parrish and Laura Wortman), might be their best yet. The songwriting, playing, and production are all first rate. This is a band that puts a lot of effort into its craft, and it shows!
The harmonies of this real-life couple add a warmth and depth that set them apart. Standout songs include Moon Pies, Weep, and Holy Hymn, although honestly, they are all strong. This is the rare album that gets better with each listen, and further proves that the music of The Honey Dewdrops will always sound timeless and fresh. Light Behind Light is available through all major streaming services, the band’s website and Bandcamp.
Saw them at the Creative Alliance in Canton and they did not disappoint! Baltimore is lucky to have these talented folks. You could say this duo puts the “Charm” back in the Charm City.

Amen Freddie. Always nice to have world class artists in the neighborhood. So grateful the Honey Dewdrops call Baltimore home.
